Scully "Bee"
Scully was a stray brought to me in September of 1997. At that time, she was very damaged emotionally and physically, and for the first few days that I took her in, all she did was eat and sleep. Upon several vet visits, it was discovered that she had kidney disease. I tried my best to keep her as healthy as possible, and also worked with Scully in many behavioral ways, and over the years a great deal of her emotional damage started to become undone and she learned to trust and to love. Scully had a very unique personality unlike any of my other cats. She would always bob her head up to my plate when I was eating, and pat my hand with her paw to politely say that she wanted some of whatever I was having. She loved to go for walks outside on a cat leash too, and she would sometimes wait by the door and beg for me to take her out. During her last weeks, I took her out for walks whenever I was able to. I had been giving her saline IV fluids at home, but she was getting very thin and barely eating, and so I made the decision to have her put to sleep. She was the first pet I ever had to make that decision for and I cried for weeks at her loss. Scully was truly one very special cat and companion, and she will always live on in my memories of her.
